Harrison Angoff of
New Jersey loves roller skating and loves Birthday Angels.
For his Bar Mitzvah he and his family organized a
roll-a-thon and raised
$2060, enough to give almost
60 children a birthday party!

what he wanted to do, why it's important and how he plans to organize it all.

And you can read this heart worming letter his mother Robin wrote to us after the party:
Dear Ruthie and Birthday Angels,
We are so EXCITED!! Harrison raised over $1600 at the event. We had 26 participants and everyone had a lot of fun. I got wonderful, positive feedback from both the kids and parents about what a terrific cause this is (one that kids really get) and what a unique event we hosted.
I'm very happy about the turnout since we only sent out the invites 8-9 days prior. I just keep thinking, how big could this have been if we had more time to hype it up and the kids had more time to get sponsors?
We have also received donations each day through the mail from people who could not attend.
We can all learn a lesson from the
Angoff family about how to make our
special occasions meaningful by turning the things we love into a
mizvah. Birthday Angels is an organization that they "truly love" and they put their roller skates where their hearts were and by doing so made the world a happier place for so many of Israel's neediest children.
Kol Hakavod!
