Birthday Angels celebrated birthdays for over 60 disadvantaged children in collaboration with the Ruach Tova annual initiative Good Deeds Day. Another 2500 children celebrated along with them.

This collaboration also exposed many more Israelis to the project.

Two workshops were given in collaboration with Gdolim Mehachayim at Seminar Hakibuzim in Tel Aviv in preparation for Good Deeds Day. 

Over 50 volunteers from Haifa to Bet Shemesh, Beer Sheva, Greater Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, aged 13-60 learned how to use the Birthday Angels Party Kits to run parties for children.

In addition, scores more volunteers registered on our website to contribute something to Birthday Angels in the form of volunteering to run parties, to baking cakes and donating prizes.

A man from Dimona wrote to us requesting that we do a party for his 7 year old daughter after seeing the Ynet article on Birthday Angels. Sharon Malka, a talented clown and "Serial Volunteer" took a bus down to Dimona and celebrated a joyous birthday party for Liram and her classmates. The father was so moved by our response to his call, he wrote an article for a local internet paper about it, in which he said: "If I only had the words to express my appreciation and collosal thanks for everything, I would repay in any way all."

Yael Avital, a renowned food engineer, organized cakes for many of the parties though her connections to Roladin  roladin.co.il and Knafo Bakery in Beer Sheva.

 

Shai Shwalb from Shesh Shesh donated 10 sacks full of candles, decorations and prizes which we were able to distribute to our parties along with our Party Kits.

Thanks to the incredible organization of Good Deed Day, Birthday Angels was able to create a new volunteer base as well as extend its reach into the community and offer birthday parties to the private sector whose children are not in the care of Perach and 40 other organizations nationwide who collaborate with Birthday Angels to give birthday parties to the children in their care.
